This flooring, backsplash, paint, cabinet, and countertop ensemble creates a warm, inviting space. An off-white grout for the backsplash and black hardware/fixtures would finish the look perfectly! Gray cabinets would also look amazing.

When a wood cabinet is chosen for your kitchen, the floor, backsplash, paint, and countertop options become smaller. Too much wood or contrasting wood can make a kitchen look dark or heavy (if that makes sense). Pairing this porcelain tile with light paint…shown on the swatch in the corner of the tile…and a beautifully patterned backsplash works well. Dark hardware and white quartz with little veining would finish the space nicely.
Materials from Lowe’s: Allen + Roth Dove Grey 12 x 24in tile; Elida Natural Waterjet Arabesque Decorative Porcelain Mosaic Backsplash; Sherwin Williams Downy paint color
Materials from Lowe’s: Laminate Flooring; Wintertide Quartz; Sherwin Williams Paint in Utterly Beige
Materials from Lowe’s: Schuler Durham Maple Cabinet with Sable Glaze; Golden Sky Quartz
This gorgeous tile would look fantastic in a kitchen as a backsplash (it might be too much pattern for a large floor). It would also look amazing on a bath floor, shower, or laundry room floor.

This hardwood option is probably one of our favorites! The light tone allows the designer to play with more colors and incorporate a bit darker pieces.
Material from Lowe’s: Bruce Flooring in Natural Hickory
Flooring
This hardwood is also a beauty! We would choose a darker cabinet or white (navy and sage colors are also options, but they’re trendy). We think an off-white, light beige, or light grey paint color would work perfectly.
Material from Lowe’s: Bruce Flooring in Golden Natural Oak
This laminate is a wonderful selection, if you’re looking for something darker. Our advice is to keep paint, furniture, cabinets, etc. light when choosing darker flooring. We have always gravitated to wood with less red tones and less yellow tones. This is a beautiful neutral blend.
